my COMpassion.
“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.” -Romans 12:9-13

i think that there is a huge divide.
- love should be without hypocrisy, yet we do not love without condition for a number of reasons.
- we are to let go of what is evil, yet we hold onto the old self; why?
- we should cling to what is good, but we hold onto them.
- we are to be devoted to one another and give preference to one another in honor, but we are just somewhat committed to each other because we stop caring and we put ourselves first.
- we should be diligent, fervent in spirit, and serving GOD, but He takes a backseat to the busyness of our lives.
- we’re supposed to rejoice in hope, persevering in trials, constantly praying, serving the needy and practicing hospitality; and yet, we don’t we become almost deaf to the things that need to finish.
i think i shall try to write a series on this topic. it’s been on my heart lately and i want to instill my passion for compassion. because if someone wasn’t compassionate with me, i would still be a lost soul.
